Forming Consistent Habit's

Well, I stayed off the elliptical today. Did my 5 hours + of work.
I forgot to do the core strengthening exercises, but will do a couple this evening. Did it 3 times yesterday.
I did drink my tea and got all my major shopping done. Took over 3 hours.
I will be making Cream steak tomorrow night and bought most of what I needed to make stuffed Manicotti this week.
Tonight is Pizza~
Had my egg's, toast and banana for breakfast.
Lunch was fast before shopping, just had a small bowl of home made Applesauce and a cheese stick.
Have a bit of an icky tummy, am hoping I am not getting what my husband has had the last few days.

Forming Consistent Habit's

Worked 5 Hr. today. Back is a bit sore from Doc. apt yesterday so am
going to back off doing the elliptical today. I did spend time rearranging our room yesterday too so think my back will be glad.
I did drink my "K" tea, and did so this morning too!
Had my most common breakfast.
Lunch, a carrot.
Dinner is lightly breaded Flounder, Steak seasoned fries and "fresh" beet's.
My husband is still not feeling good, so he will have Noodle soup. He tried Veg. beef and a pork BBQ burger, but it did not settle well with him.So not real solid food yet for him!

Forming Consistent Habit's

Well, they have to look through my charts to see what they can do to help my back/hip's etc...
Guess it's harder to fix when there is no actual spine damage, or trauma from like a fall or car wreck.
Gave me one exercise to do to strengthen my core more.
I was needless to say very disappointed.
I am to sleep on the firmer side of the bed.
So I changed our bedroom around.
Looks nice, hope I do a little better.
I had my 2 egg's, toast and a half a grapefruit for breakfast.
Left over Chinese for lunch.
We are having left over pork roast on a bun etc.. like we did last night.
My husband has been having noodle soup for the past few day's sense he has been sick.
My son is getting a school award for his high GPA.
First year in high school and has had A's all year.
We are so proud!
Got my son's bathroom cleaned and fresh rug's laid down.
I did my 600 today and drank my "K" Tea!
Now I need to remember to do this one exercise 4 to 5 times a day!
That will sure be a test for me.
I didn't do any of them today. :(
Will do a couple this evening and then get going with the number I am to do tomorrow!

Forming Consistent Habit's

I just know that knowing I am going to be writing on this and being accountable for eating, tea, walk etc.. is helping me to remember.
Least for now.
I will on my own do good for a time, then it stops. If I do this for 2 months, it will be the longest I have remembered to do the things listed consistent. I think 2 weeks is my usual and that is where I am at right now.
I had scrambled eggs, a slice of toast and a banana for breakfast.
Lunch was a Fiber One bar again along with a carrot.
I slow cooked a lean pork roast while working (put in over 5 hours) today.
It pulled apart so nicely, so tender. We will have it on bun's with BBQ sauce on them and cooked pea's.
I did drink my tea again~ Can you feel my proudness!? :)
I did my 600 as well.
Go in for physical therapy tomorrow, sure hope it helps take the pain out of my lower back and hips. Getting more sore as each day passes and I am sleeping so horrible.
But, was a cool stormy day, my sister said they were getting lightening, Man, we missed out on that here. :( But had some great down pours and the rain was actually going sideways on my way home, so cool!!
I tried the sun glasses theory today with the great rain too. It did help me to see better wearing them. Took the glare off the windshield and was able to see through the fog type look you get when it's being kicked up.
Any one out there trying to get consistent with anything yet with me?

Forming Consistant Habit's

Hay I remembered again to drink my "K" tea!
I did my 600 steps today too.
Had oatmeal for breakfast with a piece of toast and some home made applesauce, maybe a cup's worth.
Lunch was a small plate of Chinese left overs. Water.
Dinner is baked salmon my husband caught this past fall, fried almond Rice - a - Roni and fresh steamed asparagus.
Wrote a long note to Toyota about the Beaverton office, how I do not trust them to work on my car, lied to and treated like I know nothing about cars with stupid Lie's
Goes further, but Never Go To Beaverton Toyota.
Unless you like being treated like and ignorant idiot. :)
Ticked still after like 3 years.
But wont worry, all comes around one way or another.
Hope your starting or doing good with your habit forming,
it's sure not easy is it?
But it is not impossible!! :)

Forming Consistant Habit's

OK, getting all caught up now, don't I feel better! He he
I took my son for a late breakfast at "I Hop" today. Had one french
pancake with fresh strawberry's, 2 scrambled eggs, 4 pieces of bacon and
a hazelnut coffee. Saw my mom, and had one of her cookies while there.
They found my son a great back pack.
Dinner was at Chan's. Had half a doz.. Mandarin Chicken pieces, about the same BBQ pork and a glass of wine.
Had a few nut's (choc) at home.
I did my 600 steps today And remembered my "K" tea all on my own, today anyhow!
I hope I am on my way to improving in remembering and having better habits.
It's been 2 weeks now. I can not believe I have done this for 2 week's!!
Now, let's see if I can get further. Like 2 months!!

Forming Consistant Habit's

Well, I was not able to get on this last night. Was an odd day.
So I am going to catch up on yesterday now.
I had 2 waffles ~ yes home made~ for breakfast. Then my son and I took off for a movie. Lunch was of Sweet's today, Movie Sweet's of course.
No lunch really, had left over Cabbage salad. Think that was it.
Had left over roast for dinner.
Was in a bad mood most of the day for some reason. Let's say Menopause. :)
Did not do my 600 either but did remember my "K" tea! Yaaaa
Pelvic hurting more the last couple day's, will be glad to get into the urologist and find out what is still going on from my botched surgery this past Sep, 09.
Seeing my mom today, they found a back pack for Jacob. His is shredding and falling apart. The one they found is a real good one, may even last him through high school. So 3 years along with the rest of this one. That's would be sweet!

Forming Consistant Habit's

Well, I had plenty of carrot's, but Broccoli sounded good so put it in as well.
Made a nice Cabbage salad, most call it Coleslaw, but mine
I feel is not the same.
It's good, I like it better then any I have had yet.
I still need to do my 600, but worked 8 hours today so may not
have the pep to do so.
I had my 2 egg's, 1 slice toast and banana for breakfast.
Bagel with cream cheese, half a carrot (all that was left!), grapes,
Fiber bar, few Choc., covered almonds and orange things for lunch.
Yes, another moon pie when I got home.
Will be glad when there gone, wont buy them again!
Saw "K" tea on yesterdays blog, and yes I had not drank it yet, so again~ I did so before getting to this. See, it's helping!
Not sure what is for dinner. Most likely left over roast, not real hungry.

Forming Consistant Habit's

Hay, I am getting good at writing on here each day! Good feeling.
I had a few Choc., covered almonds yesterday as well as these Choc.
covered Orange stick things. From Trader Jo's.
This morning I had 1/2 a banana.
Didn't have to go work today, last minute change of day's last night.
So I went shopping and had a Jr., Whopper with Sm. Fries and a Iced Mocha.
Had a few more Choc., almonds and a carrot.
And I wonder why I can't loose weight sometimes!!! Hum, I wonder. :)
Tonight we are having a roast with carrots and a few potatoes.
Gosh maybe broccoli, I may not have enough carrots.
I did my 600 today as well.
Want to fertilize outside, but have yet to do that.
I read yesterdays blog before writing this one and saw I was
going to start drinking my "K" tea today.
Oops, I went in and drank some before starting this.
This may be my best help with that one!
Go drink some when I see it here and know I have not.
It's a start anyhow.

Forming Consistant Habit's

Well, I did not do my 500 last night. Just to sore and tired from work.
Dinner was good, had beets with it.
I worked 5 hours today AND came home and did my elliptical later before cooking dinner. I did 600 tonight. Yaaa
Had my same breakfast, sure you know what! Had some grapes, a carrot and Carmel breakfast bar and a small slice of a club sub type sandwich with the Lady I helped today.
I have been drinking close (to if not more) 3 bottles of water. I re-use the Sibbie bottles. Run them through the dish washer. they hold 20 oz., of water. I have filtering pictures we use for drinking and making coffee.
Had home made sour dough hot cakes for dinner with egg's and applesauce. Yes, it's home canned. I made the sour dough starter in like 86 I think. Made during apple blossom season, you can even still smell the apple it collected from the air if you close your eyes and Smell for it.
I think it's getting time to try to add my "K" (kubatcha tea) tea to my daily diet. One I have a heck of a time remembering to drink every day.
So, I will try to start that tomorrow. With health issues I am hoping it will help resolve or help them some.

Forming Consistant Habit's

I did do my 500 last night, but did not do more. Knee's were a bit sore, so maybe tonight! I had another moon pie yesterday too, ate it while watching Shallow Hal, seemed appropriate! :)
I did clean for over 7 hours today so I did get a good going over.
Had my 2 egg's, 1 piece toast and banana this morning. Doing so many hours I had a half a bagel with cream cheeses, a raw carrot, about 12 to 15 grapes, 2 cheese sticks and a Fiber Carmel bar. Water of course. Doing a bit better with water. Did drink more last night as I will this evening as well. We are having fried Polish sausage tonight,(I usually bake it but this sounded better) baked beans and salad. It's dark and cloudy out today. Say's cozy up worm to me.
Love the clouds out there. Sprinkling some, sure the yard is loving it. Know the birds are. We have some living in the side and all 4 corners of our house. Gosh think we need to reside??? :) I am going to get one side at least done this year.
Time to get dinner going.

Forming Consistant Habit's

I did get back on the elliptical last night for another 500 steps.
I have been setting the machine for 2 and 2 which ad's resistance
on a couple different levels.
It's more then I use to do which was none. I was able to do 1000 with
nothing punched in, so I am sure I am getting more from the step up in difficulty.
I had my usual 2 eggs, 1 large slice toasted home made baggers bread.
My favorite so far. Then my 1 banana.
Worked cleaning for just over 5 hours today. Will still get on and do my 500 or more tonight maybe! I would say it's about time to do more.
Went to town for a couple things and got a Jr. Whopper w/ fries and a root bear.
Got the small size. The whopper is the best calorie wise etc.. the most healthy of what they have. Not quite sure how to say that, but think one gets it.
I did refrain from getting a candy bar at the store, but a couple nights ago I had a scoop of Choc., Ice cream with Choc. on top~ :). Not sure if I wrote that in here either, hum maybe read my own blog! Did eat the last of my kettle cooked BBQ chips last night. Yumm
We are having left over spiral cut ham tonight, Man it was good. They always give you this gold Pkt., of spice and ? to glaze it with. Heck, I like to take that and add some brown sugar, bottled Smoky flavor and some honey to it, less water too I think! Heat it a bit to blend, then put it on, between if you can and back in at a higher temp for about 10 min., Don't want to cook it off, so not long.
Will make a salad to go with the ham. Want to use the last of my zucchini before it goes bad. Have some red chard to put in it as well. Little fresh permission ready in it's grater for on top.
Sure glad I mowed this past weekend, rain is just beginning. The Mock Crab apple is just about done with it's fluffy pink and white blooms. They almost look like marshmallows. Tulips are just starting to show themselves in my yard, while the daffodils are way gone. My Peony look nice this year, should put cages around them, the blooms are so heavy they always end up on the ground.
The Red Bud trees are quite showy with there beautiful stunning bright pink nubs all over there branch's. The Morning Star have been blooming each day for over a week now, sure there time is soon to end till next year.
I Love this time of year, so many things coming to life, showing there wonder. I believe I have something that blooms each month of the year now. :0
I have had over a 22 Oz bottle of water already today. I drank close to 3 of them yesterday. Hope to do the same today.
Time to go look at the great clouds Oregon gets, put dinner in to start worming and watch a bit of news. Then the cooking channel. Would be fun to be a good enough cook to go on one of those shows wouldn't it?

Forming Consistant Habits

I had me 2 egg's, 2 small pieces if toast and a banana for breakfast.
Lunch~ well a banana moon pie and string cheese.
I know, not the best thing I could have shoved in my mouth.
I did my elliptical already today and hope to get on it again in a awhile
to make up for yesterday.
I sprayed weeds in the yard front and back! Did driveway/road, edging's, garden, careful spot spraying in the beds as well. Nice to have done.
I am hoping it will help me to cut back on all the hand weeding I do.
Can here all sorts of yard equipment going on around the neighborhood today.
Work starts tomorrow. Busy week ahead.
Laundry is done and house looks pretty good so just dinner to do.
I am cooking a spiral ham for dinner.
Maybe Au Gratin potatoes and fresh Broccoli.
Hope Habits are coming along for any trying to get them together like me!

Did my steps last night, had a moon pie too!
Ended up having left over BBQ turkey on a bun for lunch yesterday.
Today~
Had 3 egg's for breakfast, 2 bananas and 1 piece of toast.
Man did I wake up hungry.
Woke up late so I ate a late "B" , no lunch due to that.
We had the other pizza I bought for dinner tonight.
Plus had a small bowl of Chocolate Ice Cream.
Got my Big lawn all mowed today, hope to do some weeding
tomorrow and maybe more edging dug.
But did not do my elliptical today, maybe I can get 2 in tomorrow!
How are my habits doing, OK, how about yours?

Nice to have the bulk shopping done.
Had my 2 egg's this morning, 1/2 piece of toast and 1/2 grapefruit with honey.
Lunch~ Hum??? Think I forgot lunch with the running around.
Cheese stick time! :)
Have had coffee but need to get the water bottle out. Think it's Pizza tonight.
Need to do my steps yet.
Hay, a short one!! I am a long hand winded person, there will be
long ones, trust me!

Forming Consistant Habit's

TA DA, heading to bed, but remembered to write on here.
Worked 4 1/2 hours cleaning today. Same breakfast as yesterday.
Lunch was toasted English Muffin with crunchy P.B. cheddar cheese
stick, water. Oh and a banana. Dinner, I had a left over piece of lasagna and a brownie. Water!! Did my 500 + elliptical steps too!
Maggy got her stitches out, but has a pouched out area that we are hoping is not her intestines coming through the wall inside like they found it during surgery.
Major shopping tomorrow then I hope to get this big lawn mowed.

Forming Consistant Habit's

Hay, here I am ~ I didn't forget!
I did get on the elliptical for my 500 step's yesterday.
Got most of the house cleaned.
Had last nights leftovers (& water!) for lunch and dinner we had pan fried pork chops with seasoned potato wedges, a huge salad with all sorts of good veggies in it (even zucchini, try it, it's wonderful), home made ranch dressing and brownies for desert.
Had two fried eggs, home made egg toast and 1/2 banana for breakfast today. Cleaned a house ~~ about 4 hours, couple stops on the way home and besides water was hungry so stopped for Jr. burger w/ fries and a root bear~ which I am still drinking. Dinner, good question, thinking maybe the lasagna I made a while back and froze would be good. Have some fresh Egg bread just made yesterday, the left over salad. What for desert? Maybe get the blackberry's I froze out and ???
I list Water because (for one was told to drink more) I need to drink it on a regular basis vs. only good on the days I work. I don't even work part time, I just don't think of it when I am not sweating up a storm I guess!
It's a memory thing. Sense it goes with food, it makes sense to have it with this first goal of mine.
It's how long will I keep this up that I keep having come up from the back of my mind. Will I do great for a couple weeks, then Nothing?? How long should I write on this before it's a good long lasting habit? I know ~ All great questions!
If anyone does read this, Hello? ~ he he~ it will most likely be more for what I make for meals and what I get canned during the summer and the foods I store.
Hay, Maybe I will write down how I do each when I get there. Maybe, just maybe someone will read it and Go shoot I can do that and get there own fresh food goodies stored for later.
I have yet to do my elliptical today. Help another lady tomorrow. Good 4 to 5 hours there. My Kitty gets her sutures taken out tomorrow from the dog next door, when he attacked her a couple weeks ago. The dog was put down as it has been after more then our cats.

OOpps an addition to 4/13/10

I actually wrote down dinner from Sunday not Monday!!
I am good!
So, I had for dinner Last Night~ Steak Stroganoff with corn and milk.

Consistant Habits

Oppp's, missed yesterday. But that's OK, here I am. Building a habit! :)
I worked at the high school yesterday. I became a mentor with ASPIRE
which is a group of volunteer's who help kids work towards there future.
Help them with class choices, staying focused on grades, looking at what
they love and how to make it part of there future, looking at colleges and funding ect.. it is quite cool and a great opportunity for kids.
I spent a good part of the rest of the day and evening putting together my
materials I need to work with in a binder.
I got on the elliptical for 500 steps yesterday but that was about it.
Just could not get motivated.
So today I am going to see about getting on it earlier and see if that helps get
my body moving better. Picking what to start with first to build a habit
is almost as hard as making the habit! Surprised me for sure.
SO, I am going to work on doing at the least 500 on the "E" each day and
try to get food I eat written down. I forget what I ate many times by the
next day so this really is a must I think so I can see just how much I am eating.
Yesterday I had 2 egg's and 1/2 home made wheat toast
with 1/2 of a banana and coffee. (7:30 am)
With being gone at the school I didn't eat again till I got home at 2 pm.
Had a couple pieces of home made Wheat Germ white bread and a couple cheese sticks, water. Dinner was shredded chicken with BBQ sauce mixed in
and put on hamburger buns, green beans and milk. Ate a few mini licorice mix (candy). Seems like there was something else, but ????
I had a bowl of Frosted Flakes and 1/2 banana with coffee this morning.
Have some Egg bread in the machine.
Time to go E Walk now!!
May very well have to get on this again tonight!

Forming Consistant Habits

Most people have some trouble with memory. But sometimes it can get out of hand out of mind! I am so wanting to get regular with exercising, writing down what I eat, drinking my "K" (Kubatcha Tea) tea each day, I love and want to sew, see it sitting there every day but never touch it. Learn how to work my camera and get it on my sights! I can't even take vitamins each day when I am on them for my week, or my estrogen patch, (which I just stopped due to this) I don't care where I set them out at or what note I set out, does not matter, does not help!
Why Can I not Remember the simplest of these things to do or get the ambition to get going with other thing I don't forget. I will be heading out to work and then go "OH I forgot to take my or do my ~~ what ever!" Drives me nuts.
It is a choice I know that, so why have I not been able to get it together!!
So what's going on, besides procrastination? I know I am not loosing my memorie (or mind) as I sure remember what to do daily.
So I have decided maybe if I start by writing here, making it a habit, then I will add one thing on, write it in here each day, when I see it is consistent, then add another. I am on this almost everyday anyhow.
So starting today, April 11Th~ This is my first Post to get me back into my life and head! This will be my journal, or diary. which ever, it is going to be what my mind puts into writing to help me find ~ Me I guess?

Here it is, 2010. I have my new camera, but am still waiting to get help on how to get it on this. Hope the new year has gone well. I hope to actually have a blog that is a working blog someday! :)
